Calamansi-Soy Glazed Chicken Wings

Ingredients:
Wing Marinade:
2 lbs chicken wings (split into drumettes and flats)
1 Tbsp Sun Tropics Pure Calamansi 100% Juice
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp salt
Calamansi-Soy Glaze:
¼ cup Sun Tropics Pure Calamansi 100% Juice
¼ cup soy sauce
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp grated ginger
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tsp water (slurry)
Garnish:
Sesame seeds (toasted, optional)
Sliced green onions

- Marinate the wings: In a large bowl, combine Pure Calamansi, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Add wings and let marinate for at least 15 mins., or up to 1 hour for deeper flavor.
- Cook wings: Oven method: Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack. Bakes for 40 mins., flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
- Air Fryer method: Preheat air fryer to 400 °F (200 °C). Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 25 mins., shaking the basket halfway through; until crispy and golden brown.
- Make the Calamansi-Soy Glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine Pure Calamansi, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, olive oil, ginger, and garlic. Simmer for 3-5 mins., stirring occasionally. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 1-2 mins., until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer cooked wings to a bowl and toss with the calamansi-soy glaze until well coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately.
