Makes 8 Servings

Ingredients:

1 cup Sun Tropics Guava 100% Juice
¼ cup water
2-3 Tbsp maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
1 12 oz bag fresh cranberries (about 3 cups)
1-2 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp grated orange zest or ¼ tsp ground ginger for warmth, optional

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine Guava Juice, water, and maple syrup or honey. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add cranberries and cook for 10-12 mins., stirring occasionally, until most berries burst and the sauce thickens.
  3. Taste – if you want a little more brightness, add lemon juice, and if you prefer a touch more sweetness, drizzle in an extra teaspoon of honey or syrup.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in orange zest or ginger (if using), and let cool. The sauce will thicken further as it stands. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
