Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 15mins
Total Time: 20 mins
Makes 8 Servings
Ingredients:
1 12 oz bag fresh cranberries (about 3 cups)
1 cup Sun Tropics Guava 100% Juice
¼ cup water
2-3 Tbsp maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
1-2 tsp lemon juice
Optional: ½ tsp grated orange zest or ¼ tsp ground ginger for warmth
Directions:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine Guava 100% Juice, water, and maple syrup or honey. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add cranberries and cook for 10-12 mins., stirring occasionally, until most berries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Taste – if you want a little more brightness, add lemon juice, and if you prefer a touch more sweetness, drizzle in an extra teaspoon of honey or syrup.
- Remove from heat, stir in orange zest or ginger (if using), and let cool. The sauce will thicken further as it stands. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
