Preparation Time:   5 minutes

Cook Time:               15 minutes hours

Total Time:               20 minutes

Makes 8 Servings

Ingredients:

1 (12 oz) bag fresh cranberries (about 3 cups)
1 cup Sun Tropics® Guava 100% Juice
1/4 cup water
2 – 3 Tbsp maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
1 – 2 tsp lemon juice
Optional: 1/2 tsp grated orange zest or 1/4 tsp ground ginger for warmth

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine Guava 100% Juice, water, and maple syrup or honey. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add cranberries and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most berries burst and the sauce thickens.
  3. Taste – if you want a little more brightness, add lemon juice, and if you prefer a touch of more sweetness, drizzle in an extra teaspoon of honey or maple syrup.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in the orange zest or ginger (if using), and let cool. The sauce will thicken further as it stands. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
