Korean Japchae with Glass Noodles + Shiitake Mushrooms

(7 customer reviews)

Street Food Comes Home

Streetside stalls. Night markets. Sizzling hot woks.

Japchae Glass Noodle Stir Fry is a popular Korean street food. Japchae means mixed vegetables. The hero of our Japchae is earthy shiitake, known as a culinary superfood with a meaty texture and an umami flavor. We’ve added tender carrots, colorful red bell pepper and two types of onions to the savory, slightly sweet Japchae sauce. When stirred into the mung bean glass noodles, you have a wonderful and satisfying meal.

    Japchae Korean Noodles

I think we got this at Costco. I hope Costco carries this item again. Husband & I loved this dish! I added chopped chicken breast ( small pieces) & that was perfect. A for us!

    Question: Korean japchae

Box does not say to freeze. Is this kept in the refrigerator?

Just bought at Costco and storage was not clear.

    GFree Japchae soy sauce

    Hi,

The Japchae says gluten free, but there is soy sauce in the ingredients.

Can you please advise on this?

I’ve been obsessed with noodles lately! Watching a lot of Korean television and wanting to slurp noodles, I’ve tried many different offerings. These are the BEST so far!
I wouldn’t mind less sugar but these are a HIT in our home!

    NOW, WHERE TO FIND THEM!?

Great food! It reminds me of living in Korea. Where can it get more?

The picture on the box tours so many shiitake mushrooms in the bowl. I only had one. Did I just pay that much for noodles! They were good, but not as advertised.

Absolutely delicious. The noodles, the sauce, the vegetables, all perfect. Love the toppings too. I was expecting it to be closer to ramen noodles, but these feel more like an actual dish. Would recommend. The glass noodles are also a very fun change from regular noodles
