Grilled Spareribs in Mango Marinade
Mouthwatering and tender caramelized pork ribs grilled to perfection
2 cups Sun Tropics® Mango Nectar
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
4 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp rice wine / white wine
3 tsp finely chopped lemon peel
salt and pepper
2 lbs. pork spareribs
- Combine the Mango Nectar, garlic, honey, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, wine, and lemon peel in a saucepan. Cook over medium low heat and let it boil. Simmer until mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside to cool.
- Marinate meat in the cooked mixture for 30 minutes. Leave ½ cup of the mixture for basting.
- Season the meat with salt and pepper. Grill for 10-15 minutes each side, or until ribs are cooked and the sauce has caramelized. While grilling, baste with remaining marinade.
- Serve hot with a fresh salad and corn on the cob.
This recipe can also be used with sliced pork, chicken, or fish fillets.
